Tampa Film Revolution Has Launched. Mission Statement And Objectives.

TFR: Tampa Film RevolutionThe Tampa Film Revolution web site and online publication has officially launched!
Welcome to the first post on the soon-to-be famous/ infamous (depending upon whom you talk to, I suppose) Tampa Film Revolution web site.
This post will be a bit brief, because I’m still writing support content, but I will at least write enough to let you, my readers, know about what the Tampa Film Revolution site is all about.
The Tampa Film Revolution was born of frustration and anger. Frustration because my Tampa Film Blog, despite its 600 pages of great content (read through it at the Tampa Film Blog if you want to know where this new online publication is going. There is a lot of great content on there. Tampa Film Revolution will go much farther than the Tampa Film Blog ever did, too!) , isn’t where it needs to be in the search results online (and I could not move the blog to a new domain because a rival blogger had bought the other obvious name that I needed. At any rate, the Tampa Film Blog isn’t where it needs to be right now in SEO because I made some rookie mistakes and figured that the content alone, without organizing it as I went, could carry the site. As a result, when I finally did organize the content, which took months, the search engines did not bother to index any of it. It will take me a while to fix that with the search engines, but it will be done), and anger that several self-serving, opportunist idiots pretty much sold out independent filmmaking in Tampa Bay, in my opinion. Tampa Bay should be on the map as far as local independent filmmaking,Woody Tampa Bay Film Player Card. with many innovative, cool indie films being made by truly talented filmmakers, but it isn’t, and there are few cool films being made here.
So, this site is the solution to all of that.
With my Frontier Pop site and online publication having launched back in 2010, and dominating all search results since, I decided to create an online publication, which is a part of my Tampa Bay Film sites, which would publish content as-needed, combining some aspects of a blog with an online publication like Frontier Pop. Essentially, this is a super blog, and most of what would have been new Tampa Film Blog content will be published here for at least 2012.
Of course, this does not mean that I am abandoning the Tampa Film Blog. Far from it. Each site has its purpose, although there is quite bit of overlap blended in there. I will be referencing the Tampa Film Blog, a LOT, with tons of relevant links from many, many sites. Once the search engines do their job and index it, I will resume posting on there, too.
Although the Tampa Film Revolution site is formatted much like a blog, it isn’t one, technically. I refer to it as a super blog of sorts, which is an online publication which is updates as-needed. The Tampa Film Blog is set up so that any filmmaker can post there if they choose to. Here, filmmakers can comment on the subject-based posts, or send in a letter, which will be answered in our upcoming letters section as they are received.
At any rate, much like Frontier Pop (and learning from lessons from my very successful mother site), the posts here are dated, as the are published as needed, but are more topic-relevant. No posted “issue” expires, and all posts remain in play (which is different from a blog). New content can be added to past post “issues”, and readers can comment on them. Post issues will be referenced both by date posted and by subject.
In closing on this first post, Tampa Film Revolution is about independent filmmaking in the Tampa Bay market, putting independent films made by Tampa filmmakers on the map of the worldwide independent film scene, inspiring a new generation of the filmmakers that we will need to make that future happen, and to eventually help establish a real Tampa indie film community. I’m not someone who will mindlessly promote anything and everything in the Tampa film scene. I’m not a filmmaker who will play shady politics and sell out Tampa filmmakers! I will not support anything that I feel is not in the best interest of Tampa filmmaking. I say that we do not need Hollywood to come here and compete with Tampa filmmakers. I say that those large film festivals in the Tampa Bay area which are set up to market the area to Hollywood need to stop their stupidity and start supporting the films being made here. I also say that we need better films made here, films that are worth supporting.
I fight for the filmmakers!

I thought of the podcast, Passinault, I DID! Ha ha! It is so typical of you to claim that we stole the idea from you! You did not put us out of business, either! We are STILL here! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Now that I own the true top Tampa pop culture web site, we will soon expose your Frontier Pop site, which sounds like some old western soft drink, as the fraud that it is! You will NEVER be as good as we are, as we have been on the Internet now for 12 YEARS as the AUTHORITY of Pop Culture AND entertainment in Tampa Bay!
